The lack of ubiquitous and robust Broadband/Internet services in Northern Michigan suppresses economic development, hinders public education, and impedes the delivery of critical services, and therefore directly affects the quality of life for our citizens and the vitality of our community.
Cooperative Update
The first organizational meeting to form a Northern Michigan Broadband Cooperative was held Wednesday, January 16th at University Center in Gaylord with 113 people attending. There was overwhelming support for the creation of the cooperative to develop solutions for a 12 county area.
